📝 EduVerse Educational Metaverse Opens New Era — National University of Kaohsiung and Chiayi City Sign MOU to Co-create Future Learning Environments
🌐 Cross-domain collaboration creates immersive virtual teaching, driving education toward smart innovation
September 5, 2024, marks an important milestone for the EduVerse educational metaverse platform! ✨ National University of Kaohsiung and Chiayi City Government officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), jointly promoting the construction of next-generation digital learning environments and opening virtual learning spaces that transcend traditional teaching for students and teachers.
📍 The signing ceremony was held at Chiayi Jingzhong Elementary School, witnessed by NUK President Chen Qiren and Chiayi City Education Department Director Guo Tiancai. The EduVerse platform, led by Professor Wang Zhenghong, Director of the Digital Content Design Research Center and Associate Professor of the Department of Crafts and Creative Design, features high interactivity and immersion, creating virtual learning spaces unrestricted by time and space that enable teachers and students to engage in inquiry-based and collaborative learning, stimulating learning motivation and developing cross-disciplinary thinking abilities.
👤 Professor Wang Zhenghong introduced that the EduVerse platform has established four core learning areas, comprehensively covering self-learning, guided learning, intra-group collaborative learning, and inter-group interactive learning needs, and has added the latest functional modules:
💬 CHAT Bot: Provides real-time interaction and learning assistance, simulating real conversations and supporting various subject discussions.
🌱 AIoT Plant Cultivation Base: Combines smart agriculture technology, allowing students to experience plant cultivation and growth processes in the metaverse.
🌍 Translation Bot: Provides real-time translation functions, enabling students to communicate in multiple languages and promoting international perspectives and cultural exchange.
This collaboration combines support from the Ministry of Education's "5G New Technology Learning Demonstration School Program" and the National Science and Technology Council, fully embodying the future of education and technology integration. We will continue to refine digital teaching tools, providing all users with a creative learning platform and driving education toward smart and digitalized new directions.
